  2. Only 4×4 vehicles up to 3,500 Kgs of tare weight are allowed in the Ngorongoro Crater floor except for authorized trucks for organized groups.
  3. All persons, bags, parcels and other items may be subject to security checks at the point of entry and other locations inside the NCA as the NCAA may consider it convenient.
  4. NCAA reserves the right not to allow any person, bag, parcel or other items to be brought into the NCA
  5. Off-road driving is not permitted within NCA unless authorized by the Conservation Commissioner of Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
  6. Please keep on designated roads and tracks.
  7. Commercial filming is not permitted in the area without a filming permit.
  8. Please be courteous to other visitors.
  9. Use no profanity or engage in dangerous, illegal, or offensive behavior.
  10. Please do not harass or disturb wild animals.
  11. Respect other visitors by turning off radios or audio players, refraining from making noise or imitating animal sounds, and clapping or pounding on a vehicle or sound horn.
  12. Do not throw objects to attract the attention of animals, and do not feed them.
  13. Please present your permits for inspection whenever demanded to do so by NCAA staff.
  14. Entry and camping fees must be paid within 24 hours of entry, and all permits, including crater service, are single entry.
  15. Picnicking is permitted at designated public areas at no cost. Special picnic areas must be reserved in advance, and payments must be made prior to arrival.

  17. The speed limits in the area and at the craters are 50kph and 25kph, respectively.
  18. Crater descent gates close at 16:00 hours and close at 18:00 hours.
